Words of Wisdom: Wisdom

When Jane asked me to write the wisdom article for the Glendo paper I quickly accepted, then thought, "Wait! I don't have anything wise to offer.” I probably have a few things that I have learned the hard way over the years that I could share, but no real wisdom.

Real wisdom comes from God, through God! James 1:5 says, "If you need wisdom, ask our generous God. But when you ask, be sure that your faith is in God alone.”. Proverbs 3:7 "Don't be impressed with your own wisdom, instead fear the lord and turn away from evil." Proverbs is full of wise quotes, and James talks extensively about the wisdom of God and how we should seek it and apply it to our lives.

Honestly, everything we have comes from God, our talents, our intellect, our creativity, our lives and the breath in our lungs! If we seek Godly wisdom first, then we will know how to use the gifts he has blessed us with for his glory!
